ਸਉ ਮਣੁ ਹਸਤੀ ਘਿਉ ਗੁੜੁ ਖਾਵੈ ਪੰਜਿ ਸੈ ਦਾਣਾ ਖਾਇ ॥ ਡਕੈ ਫੂਕੈ ਖੇਹ ਉਡਾਵੈ ਸਾਹਿ ਗਇਐ ਪਛੁਤਾਇ ॥   सउ मणु हसती घिउ गुड़ु खावै पंजि सै दाणा खाइ ॥ डकै फूकै खेह उडावै साहि गइऐ पछुताइ ॥   Sao maṇ hasṯī gẖio guṛ kẖāvai panj sai ḏāṇā kẖāe. Dakai fūkai kẖeh udāvai sāhi gaiai pacẖẖuṯāe.   The elephant eats a hundred pounds of ghee and molasses, and five hundred pounds of corn.
